Regions track

We start with a project containing an audio, click and note track. To view the Regions track, you can unfold the 'special' tracks section of the timeline, by clicking the button at the top right of the track strips.

We can now see the Tempo, Signature, and Regions tracks.

There are two ways to create a region:

• Select an area and right click [Add region]
• Create a region based on existing content

First, we manually create a new region.

We change the name and color, to indicate its function.

Next, we create a region based on the existing audio file in our project. The name, color, starting point and duration are copied into the new region.

We remove the .WAV extension from the region's name.

To control Myelin Director's playback, based on the regions, we open the right sidebar, in 'Region Player' mode.

Now we can click the 'play' button for the region we wish to start, and observe the amount of the regions already played.
