MIDI preferences

To open the MIDI preferences window, we click [Myelin Director] -> [Preferences] in the menu bar on macOS, and [File] -> [Preferences] in the menu bar on Windows. Then we select the MIDI tab on the left.

Here, you can enable the MIDI inputs for incoming MIDI timecode, and MIDI outputs for outgoin MIDI timecode, and MIDI triggers.

If you have MIDI inputs enabled, they will show up in the MIDI outputs list in the 'External Synchronization' popup, that can be opened using the magnet icon in the transport bar.

If you have MIDI outputs enabled, they will show up in MIDI outputs list in a timecode track's settings, and in a MIDI trigger's settings.

If there are no options available, or an MIDI output that was present before isn't anymore, the setting will remain, and it will pick up the MIDI output as soon as it is available again.
